The event of the official commencement (Hajaro Al-Asas) of DIBIS Power Plant Construction was held on June 20th, 2012 at project site located in Al-Tamim province of Iraq, northern part of Kirkuk, with the presence of H.E Mr. Abdul Kareem Aftan, Minister of Electricity of Iraq, Iranian embassy consulate and SUNIR’s CEO, Mr. Mahmood Jannatian, along with other SUNIR staff.

The contract of DIBIS Power Station with the capacity of 2x160 MW was signed between the Ministry of Electricity of Iraq and SUNIR Co. This contract encompasses Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Commissioning, and Erection of DIBIS Gas Turbine Power Plant.
