Increasing the financing share of the third power transmission line project in Armenia

During the joint meeting of Sunir Company, as the main contractor of the third line of electricity transmission project in Armenia, with the Export Development Bank of Iran and Armenian HVEN Company, the proposal to increase the ceiling and financing period of the third line transmission line of Armenia was signed by the interested parties.

According to the public relations of Sunir Company, in the provisions of the new addendum, the financing ceiling and the financing period of this project were increased to 88 million Euros.

The CEO of the Export Development Bank of Iran, while stating the optimal progress of the project in 2020, stressed the need to accelerate the operation of the project. Dr. Salehabadi, while emphasizing the importance of implementing this project in trade interactions between Iran and Armenia, said: “Despite the many problems that existed in 2020, we were able to cooperate and work together with HVEN Company and Sunir Company as the main contractor of the project”. Remove obstacles and problems in the process of completing the project.

Salehabadi also expressed hope that thanks to joint cooperation, we will be able to see the completion and launch of this project by Sunir next year.

Following this meeting, Hayek Harutonian, CEO of HVEN, thanked the Export Development Bank of Iran for its cooperation in this project and thanked Mansour Saeedi, CEO of Sunir Company, for his significant efforts in advancing the project to maximum in 2020, despite the conditions regarding the outbreak of the Corona virus and regional tensions. He said: “executive factors and investment together have made the project a success.

“We hope to see the launch of the project soon with the signing of the extension of the financing ceiling,” Harutonian said.
